This track made me think of the possibility of life somewhere in the universe that is nothing like what we imagine life being, but is still a being out there living its best life and being awesome, and that's a cool thing to be. I love that Binaural Space's music makes my brain do things like that.

Happy New Year! 🥳
“Start on the New Year’s Day as you mean to go on for the rest of the year.” A popular Czech saying, important to me because I was born on the New Year’s Day and don’t want a year of mine get wasted. I had wasted many years before I began my journey as Binaural Space. Non-wasted time feels better.
On the 2021’s New Year’s Day I composed “Old Me Knew Me”. On the last one’s I released “Fifteen for the 3rd Time.” That year’s end was far from triumphant for me; our whole family has had a harsh flu and I still don’t feel well even today, on the first day of 2023.
So I called my good old friend for help. Everybody’s good all friend, actually, although many people don’t appreciate her friendship: Mathematics.
As one of my idols, Johann Sebastian Bach, knew well, mathematics is a helpful friend for us musicians. And so with her little help I composed this track, celebrating the second cycle of 23 years I’ve been around, so to speak, in my head. And now I’m sharing it with you, my beloved fans, as a birthday gift... from the birthday boy to you.
All my music I've released as Binaural Space has a deeper meaning and is full of Easter eggs. I usually keep these to myself, rejoicing in the idea one day a devotee will put everything together and reveal the hidden meanings. Sometimes, though, it's fun to indicate there is something to look for. In the case of Twenty Three Once Again it is an inside joke: I played with the idea of being much older than I actually am and so I borrowed the first few notes (seven, to be precise) from another track I had released before. If you figure out which track that was, let me know in the comments or elsewhere and I'll gladly send you a download code for Twenty Three Once More.
When I was 23 the first time ;-) it was fun: The year was 2000 and the whole world worried about the Y2K problem. It blows my mind that since then a new generation of fantastic musicians has been born. Sometimes I'm wondering whether it's the last generation of real musicians, as music has been and will be made more and more by machines. And, one day, AI will take over entirely.
I'll keep doing my best to prove nothing can ever replace the human touch but there's always the imporant second part of the equation: listeners. If they – you, we – don't care, don't cultivate the ear for humanity in art, we're doomed. You've been doing fine so far; if you're reading these very words you do care and that's what counts after all.
Thank you very much for your support in the previous year, have a happy, safe and healthy new one and expect some wonderful, beautiful and exceptional music from us – my labelmates and myself – in 2023. You have some really fantastic music to look forward to and I can’t wait to start sharing it with you.
Ambient traditionalists say to Binaural Space what the Emperor said to Mozart: “Too many notes.” In both cases, the rest of the world tends to disagree.
Great album that doesn't take itself too seriously but stands the test of multiple listens anyway (just yesterday I enjoyed a 2-hour drive accompanied only with the 4 pre-released tracks tremendously) Binaural Space
Fun, multi-genre album full with motley ideas in the best sense of the word, with that typical melodic and harmonic magic only ACY can provide. Currently my fav ACY album – and that's something! Binaural Space
Powerful and yet intimate, deep and yet full of light, haunting but optimistic. This EP has a special atmosphere thanks to the brilliantly selected timbres and sounds... and the vocal. Great name, too Binaural Space
