FoxPuppy I took my morning walk while listening to this and it occurred to me that nothing makes me feel like an adorable cartoon character in an animated walk cycle than listening to an Uncle Fido album and walking to the beat. What a fun way to start my day!

Cat Temper My favorite Uncle Fido yet. A froggy fanfare starts things off, blossoming into the fun & friendly synth sounds this project is known for. Peppy melodies abound, with some songs reminding me of Silicon Teens' "Music for Parties". It's always a party here!

Alpha Chrome Yayo It's always a delight to see a new adventure with the Tipentap boys landing, but this is probably my very favourite so far.

The very definition of aural comfort that is - despite the pair's solemn bathtime expression - pure unbridled joy.

An album that is every bit as fuzzy, cuddly and adorable as Tipentap themselves - utterly lovely! Favorite track: They Are Cookin'.

February 15 – National I Want Butterscotch Day

One afternoon, when Tip and Tap were savouring their favourite toffees, Uncle Fido remembered a delicious treat that he used to enjoy when he was a young pup: butterscotch. He knew very well that Tip and Tap loved caramel, so he thought they would love butterscotch even more – and so he decided to teach them how to make it.

Tip and Tap were so excited to learn about this new treat that they immediately gathered all the ingredients – brown sugar, butter, cream, flour, and vanilla extract. Uncle Fido told them how to melt the sugar and butter together and then add the cream and vanilla extract. They cooked and stirred the mixture on their own until it thickened into a smooth sauce.

However, just like any young pups, Tip and Tap were easily distracted. As they were cooking, they started to chase each other around the kitchen, and before they knew it, the butterscotch was boiling over and making a sticky mess all over the stove. When they noticed what they'd done, they checked the thermometer they used to measure the temperature of the butterscotch.

"It's broken down!" Tip exclaimed.
"How come?" Tap asked.
"No idea. But all the mercury leaked out."
"Hmm... What's the maximum temperature it can measure?"
"Forty two."
"Forty two thousand degrees?"
"I guess so."

They had to call Uncle Fido who flew back and showed them how to add a pinch of flour to thicken the mixture.

With his guidance, Tip and Tap managed to save their first butterscotch and were very proud of themselves. However, they were so dirty and sticky from making the butterscotch that Uncle Fido reminded them it was important to be clean and took them to have a bath, which they had always hated.

When they finished washing themselves, they dried themselves off and spooned the delicious sauce into jars. When it cooled down, they tasted it and were amazed by how delicious it was.

And if they haven't eaten all of it afterwards, they're probably still eating their delicious butterscotch, more experienced now which is why next time they're making more of it they won't have to take a bath hopefully.
