Ghostbuster Busters

by Binaural Space

supported by
Armageddon_Speaking
Armageddon_Speaking thumbnail
Armageddon_Speaking symphonic synth music that recalls themes of 1980s horror movie scores back when horror movies were fun and were less about inducing heart dysfunction and PTSD responses. Favorite track: Jeepers Halloweepers.
SkyYamaha

SkyYamaha just as good if not better than any commercial big movie or game soundtrack. full of gothic, orchestral, and big emotional moods with a touch of light hearted delight all around, whatever humble thing Binaural Space has to say about this release know it is an understatement. Favorite track: Jeepers Halloweepers.
FoxPuppy

FoxPuppy I've only heard the first track and it's hard to overstate how much I loved it. Epic in scope, but intimate in its beauty. References the subject matter effectively (A movie very dear to my heart) while sounding wholly original. Hollywood needs to hire Binaural Space to score their movies.

about

When I released my first Halloween album, Pumpkinship, a year ago, one of my fav musicians wrote about it: “More cozy than spooky ambient synth dusted with pumpkin spice and the rustling of dry leaves. Autumn magic.”

And he was right!

Although our national version of Halloween is called literally “Little Souls”, it’s not spooky. So had you wanted a spooky Binaural Space album before, you would’ve probably chosen this year’s Midsummer rather than Pumpkinship.

I didn’t give up, though. I was thinking: What kind of music idea relatable to my experiences and/or interests would be *really* spooky – but fun at the same time?

A couple of weeks ago an answer finally came to me.

For my generation which fell in love with Ghostbusters when we were kids, ghosts are defeatable – with traps, Ecto Goggles, Proton Packs… But what about a squad of specially skilled ghosts that would learn to deal even with all the Ghostbuster’s tools, knowhow and weapons? Ha! We all would be doomed then, wouldn’t we?

Hence the idea of Ghostbuster Busters.

The resulting tracks are, I hope, both spooky and fun and the title track is probably one of my best ones so far (yeah, I’m quite proud of it and can’t wait for you to hear it!).

I hope you’ll enjoy listening to Ghostbuster Busters – I had much fun composing and recording it. Thank you very much for your ongoing support and have a wonderful Halloween season. 👻

Binaural Space

Ambient traditionalists say to Binaural Space what the Emperor said to Mozart: “Too many notes.” In both cases, the rest of the world tends to disagree.
