Energetic and fun funky soundscapes. I'm a big fan of a lot of the more ambient sounds released on the Binaural Space label but with these smooth beats, funky basslines, and danceable soundscapes, I'mma call this "Shake-Yo'-Ass-bient."

Joyous in the sound of this funk direction, N and H inject plenty of style into their structures. Expect rhythmic fun. High values on the instrumentation throughout!
Favorite track: Em Tee Vee.
This Bandcamp exclusive album is dedicated to Norman Whitfield and Giorgio Moroder.
8 days ago, on April 26, Giorgio Moroder celebrated his 82nd brithday. 8 days from today, on May 12, Norman Whitfield would be 82, too. We owe these two producers for bringing disco to the mainstream in the early 1970's. That's why we're releasing this album on May 4, right in the middle between their respective birthdays.
This album, celebrating not only the two artists but the whole approach, genre and their variations, is the first collaboration between Nostalgin and Hopkirk. It's also the first collab we've ever released. Nostalgin and Hopkirk aren't unknown to our fans. Nostalgin's Nikke Adde Goppe Shoppe, a wonderful classical vaporwave album, was recently released on a beautiful cassette. Hopkirk's debut, Retro Bar 2099, released on Binaural Space back in 2020, became the best-selling album in several genres on Bandcamp during its release weekend and their following creations, especially the Magical Mystery Trip album released in January 2022, have been loved by fans, too.
Although Nostalgin makes mostly vaporware and Hopkirk is known for instrumental hip-hop, the two artists joined forces to entertain themselves with a bit higher BPM genre this time: future funk, and a highly retro one in their case. It looks like an odd choice only at the first sight – it actually makes sense as the three genres and two artists have a lot in common, especially the creative use of samples.
The result of the collaboration is, I dare to think, highly entertaining not only for the artists themselves but also for listeners. There's not any other album I would have listened to that many times in the past two weeks. Future Funk Fellows is pure magic – it is comfortably loopy but ever changing, motley but compact and it's banging though relaxing. Its combination of musical playfulness, novel creativity and natural nostalgia makes it at home here, among our other releases, and I have high hopes for you, our fans, to recognize its appeal, to fall in love with Future Funk Fellows and to spread the word. This album is a Bandcamp exclusive, you'll never find it on streaming services and it deserves as much love as we can give.
And because I think we all need more of such upbeat tracks, I promise I will keep persuading Nostalgin and Hopkirk to consider that Future Funk Fellows shouldn't be only a one-time thing but rather an act that will collaborate in the future and gift us with more fun music.
Huge thanks not only to Giorgio and Norman (both of whose work is represented on this album in the coolest possible way) but to all disco and funk legends without which something fundamental would be missing from all kinds of genres even now, an unbelievable half of a century after Mr. Moroder's and Mr. Whitfield's disco beginnings.
Thank you for your support of good music and musicians, keep safe and take a good care of yourselves.

Ambient traditionalists say to Binaural Space what the Emperor said to Mozart: “Too many notes.” In both cases, the rest of the world tends to disagree.
Great album that doesn't take itself too seriously but stands the test of multiple listens anyway (just yesterday I enjoyed a 2-hour drive accompanied only with the 4 pre-released tracks tremendously) Binaural Space
Fun, multi-genre album full with motley ideas in the best sense of the word, with that typical melodic and harmonic magic only ACY can provide. Currently my fav ACY album – and that's something! Binaural Space
Powerful and yet intimate, deep and yet full of light, haunting but optimistic. This EP has a special atmosphere thanks to the brilliantly selected timbres and sounds... and the vocal. Great name, too Binaural Space

Once again, Alpha pushes the boundaries between synthwave and ambient soundscapes, creating a world full of silky smooth beauty!
Relaxing, positive and undeniably cool, if this is your introduction to ACY then dive head first into a stress free paradise and immerse yourself in an artist who's at the very top of his game. stuthedj
