FoxPuppy Binaural Space sometimes gets put into categories like Chillsynth and Ambient, and it's not entirely inaccurate, but there's some dynamic and bombastic aspects to his musicianship where his music could be considered stadium-worthy synth-rock. His music is hard to categorize but easy to love.

Cat Temper Binaural Space has accomplished so much musically in just four years. This is a nice refresher of where the project began and how it continues to evolve.

A mix of hope and melancholy pervade this suite of tracks. I'm reminded of albums like Tubular Bells or Pink Floyd's exploratory work. Above all, Jan's playing and arrangements are solid and grooving.

Ricky Ellison Another amazing release from Binaural Space, having only discovered them in the last year or so this is great little retrospective for me.

Movement 12 and the Epilogue are stand out songs for me, they wouldn't be out of place on a PlayStation 1 game and just oozes the feeling of mystery and discovery.
Favorite track: RTWSF Suite Movement 12.

Quittiie I know the works of Binaural Space for about a year now and I'm still exploring. The first dilogy of albums and especially Remember the Way are definitely faves of mine, so it is a big pleasure for me to listen to this "extended" Version of the song. Give it a try, you won't regret it. On to the next years of good music. Favorite track: Remember the Way – 4th Anniversary Remaster.

Five years ago, on September 21, 2018, we released a track called Remember the Way – and Binaural Space was born.

A year ago we released the Remember the Way So Far album to celebrate the first 4 years of Binaural Space.

Now, five years since the first release, and a year after the album, we're releasing Remember the Way So Far first time on tape to celebrate the first 5 years of Binaural Space.

A beautiful Transparent Brown C32 Cassette, dedicated and signed by Binaural Space.

Each copy was real-time recorded directly from the analog master played on a fabled Marantz deck to a warm and beloved old Nakamichi deck. Every single copy is unique and has desired little artefacts like warble, flutter or wow, making your cassette a hearty lo-fi original.

about

Four years ago today, on September 21, 2018, I released a track called Remember the Way – and Binaural Space was born.

This Bandcamp exclusive album celebrates the first four years of Binaural Space by focusing on that composition, deriving from it and elaborating on its ideas.

The first track on this album is a new analogue remaster of Remember the Way. A "suite" based on the track follows and consists of three main parts – forming four parts together with the remaster, representing the four years – played live and divided into 14 (representing "the 1st 4") Movements, incl. the Prologue and the Epilogue.

The artwork is based on the original one, too (a photo of my son before entering a maze), once again representing the four years of Binaural Space, each entirely different but connected by the person with their limitations, inspirations, views, beliefs, humility, gratitude, motivations, potential, aspirations and experiences.

This album is dedicated to my fans – you are the very reason why I keep finishing and releasing my compositions.

Thank you very much for your support so far and trust me when I tell you:

You ain't heard nothing yet. ;-)

about

Binaural Space

Ambient traditionalists say to Binaural Space what the Emperor said to Mozart: “Too many notes.” In both cases, the rest of the world tends to disagree.
